Clare was appointed as eBay’s EU Marketplaces Vice President in April 2010 and has worked in a variety of roles over the past seven years with the company. Some of her key positions have included leading the eBay motors team, as well as redesigning the pricing and listing structure on eBay UK so that sellers can easily upload more inventory on to the site. This has subsequently enabled well known high street fashion brands to use eBay as a successful sales channel, recently resulting in the launch of the eBay Fashion Outlet.

In her current role, Clare is responsible for setting the strategy for the marketplaces business across Europe, including leading eBay’s two largest markets outside of the US; Germany and the UK.

Clare began her career working at Unilever for three years in their sales and marketing division, this also included one year at Asda in its buying division. She also worked at the Boston Consulting Group, working with a variety of large European food and non food retailers on projects such as pricing and international expansion.

Outside of work, Clare is kept busy with her young family, which has inevitably meant that she is most familiar with eBay’s home and garden, clothing and baby categories!
