Rafael joined eBay in September 2006 as part of the eBay Motors team and has since held a number of leadership roles across different verticals, as well as the buyer and seller experience teams.

Before joining eBay, Rafael worked at the logistics firm CHEP in London. He also spent four years in the Internet marketing and e-commerce teams at Procter and Gamble in Venezuela having written software for the Oil and Gas industry. He has a computer engineering degree, a marketing diploma and an MBA from INSEAD.

Rafael has been trading actively on eBay since 2005 buying a variety of items. He is also an enthusiastic seller in his perennial attempt to free up storage space around his home. Outside work, Rafael enjoys spending time with his family, mountain biking and exploring the latest technology trends.
