Love shopping but hate standing in queues and carrying bags? Love browsing in-store for inspiration, but love the selection and great value deals you get on-line even more?

Combining the best of both worlds, eBay is taking the pain out of Christmas shopping this year with an inaugural Christmas Boutique. For the first time ever, eBay is opening a Christmas pop-up in London’s West End, but with an online twist.

The eBay Christmas boutique will be the UK’s first ever Quick Response (QR) code shopping emporium. Using mobile technology consumers can browse and shop all in a single inspiring location.

With this innovative shopping experience, Britain’s leading online marketplace is combining must-have Christmas gifts and its great Christmas deals, with the ease and convenience of mobile shopping.

The boutique features a huge selection of top gifts from leading brands, each with its own unique QR code and up to 70% off. Shoppers simply scan the QR code with their Smartphone to make their loved ones’ Christmas wishes come true – no tills, no queues, no bags, no stress. Using your mobile phone, you can literally complete your shopping in a matter of clicks.

The store is open from 1st to 5th December during what is anticipated to be the busiest online shopping weekend this year. eBay predicts another record breaking ‘Super Sunday’ as over five and a half million (5.8m) shoppers are expected to log on to eBay.co.uk to shop. That’s half a million more than last year, and equivalent to the entire population of Sheffield. Sales are forecast to peak at over 30 gifts every second, nearly double the 16 gifts per second bought last year via online and mobile platforms while up to 120 gifts will be bought via a Smartphone every minute.

Whether you own a smart phone or not, customers can come along to try out the QR code experience or browse the Christmas deals and enter a prize draw to win some fantastic prizes, including top of the range electronics items to the most wanted children’s toys this Christmas.
