As the much-anticipated Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice hits the big screen and the iconic superheroes battle in the ultimate power struggle, eBay.co.uk has seen Batman outselling his rivals with two pieces of merchandise every minute on the site .
In the last three months, more than 200,000 Batman related items have sold on site , with listings including limited edition figurine collections, yours for £4,000 and comics and DVDs
starting at 99p . Rival superhero and ‘son of Krypton’ Superman fails to keep up with the ‘caped crusader’, flying into second place, selling just 74,000 products in the last three months,
that’s only 35 per hour compared to Batman’s 94 .
Surprisingly, in third place is the green goliath; Hulk, selling more than 50,000 items with current listings including limited edition comics, signed pictures and toys . While loveable Iron
Man makes it into fourth place selling just over 500 products per day , ranging from a 7ft statue to miniature action figures .
Despite the previous success of The Amazing Spider-Man movies, the spider-web shooting superhero fails to make it into the top five - poor Peter Parker.
